Making time for eBay

As some of you know, I have been busy working on some show pieces for the Calgary Bear Show in August...so my eBay creating has slowed down a bit....today I am happy to offer Dexter on eBay for three days. He is a young adult Birman kitty cat, who is 10" total length, a bit biger than some of my others, he has Birman white paws, and gorgeous Birman eyes. He has a starting price of $250.00 and no reserve!!! He is scheduled to start tonight at 6PM PDT. Hope you can pay him a visit.

The Awwww factor!!

It seems like forever ago that I posted about Winnie and her babies....but not really...they are five weeks old today and as cute as buttons!! Here are some photos I got of them last night as the sun was just starting to set and their room had perfect lighting for photos.

Time Flies!!

Wow does time ever fly. I am in the process of getting ready for my very first bear show, and I have lost track of all sense of time. I will be exhibiting my creations in Calgary at the Calgary Bear Show, produced by Heather Wing of Flying Fur Studios, on the 4th of August. I can't wait!!!

This little girl is Lulu, she was supposed to be a show piece, and is #2 in the wild orphans series, but I just had to share her with all. So she will be up on eBay hopefully later on today for 3days. Lulu will also, like Kane have a reserve of $450.00. Hope you can pay her a visit later!!
Lulu was created after much research into real life bear cubs, their features, positions, and general apperance.

New Series "Wild Orphans" #1 Kane

Kane is finally complete and will be making his eBay debut this evening at 6PM PDT. Kane is 15" in total length, pretty much bang on for a two week old tiger cub. He is made from cream Tissavel fur and hand shaded, as you can see from the post below he started out all one color. Kane was so much fun to work on, and so different...he may be a cat type animal but much different than your domestic cat, all those differnt body and face proportions were mind boggling....I will post Kane's auction link once his auction starts just in case anyone wants to pay him a visit. Kane will have a starting price of $200.00 and a reserve of $450.00.
Hugs,
Krista and Kane

Starting a New Series

With the additon of the two orphan kittens, it got me thinking, and I have now started a new series. It will be called Wild Orphans and it will consist of orphan babies of wild animals. The first critter in the works will be a tiger cub orphan. I am very happy with how it is turning out and can't wait to share with you. I will snap some pictures in progress as he/she is being created.

My House is a Zoo

Sorry for being a slacker of late, but not without good reason! My house has turned into a zoo. On Thursday 10 May we were called by our local pound, they had picked up a pregnant cat from a vacant apartment who had been left behind when her family moved. She had been alone with no food or water for almost a week....we immediatley went to pick her up and brought her home. On Friday 11 May she graced us with four gorgeous little ones...all with her coloring and absolutely adorable. She is an amazing mom, and she proved this to us on Tuesday when we got another panicked call, a litter of kittens were found, 3 dead, 2 alive and no mom to be seen!!! I feel so bad for the little ones who didn't make it...I still cry for them, but Winnie the amazing momma cat that we just took in accepted these two new ones as her own although they are a few days older there really is no differnce, other than the coloring!!! In amongst Winnies original crew of white kittens with black accents she now has a cute little orange tabby and a beautiful tortie. We have named everyone, and have figured out how to tell them apart....We have Winnie the mom, Pan (Panda face boy), Hemi(most black girl), Wallace (three spots boy), Hermione (patch on back girl), William (orange boy) and Willow (tortie girl)
